Session Overview

Today, Real-Time PCR represents a fundamental tool for the rapid and reliable detection of pathogens in food and environmental testing. Recent innovations in analytical kits have significantly simplified workflows, reducing response times and operational complexity.

This presentation will introduce solutions based on R-Biopharm’s SureFast® ONE system, designed for the direct RT-PCR detection of key food safety pathogens, including E. coli STEC, Salmonella, and Listeria. The talk will highlight advantages in terms of standardization, ease of use, and seamless integration into daily laboratory routines.

Emerging topics in microbiological safety will also be explored in depth, with a focus on testing for Clostridium botulinum and major enteric viruses, such as Hepatitis A and Norovirus—both of which are increasingly critical in official controls and outbreak prevention.

A dedicated section will cover environmental applications, focusing on the detection of Legionella in water systems, a key component of risk monitoring and management in civil and industrial settings.

Through practical application examples and performance data, the operational benefits of SureFast® RT-PCR kits in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of analytical processes will be demonstrated.
